s5 to s7 converting tool

Can you give me some advice what's the best idea to do conversion as easy as possible? If I download s5 blocks and convert it to AWL do i need to separate it to block FC OB and other? AWL seems to be long and doesn't want to compile because call to some FC are below. best regards

IBN-Service Posts: 8946 Rating: (999)	Oscar_83PL ... What L BS 41 does? L is for load but BS is not a data type. ... The BS is an "BetriebSystem" Value, means it is an CPU internal Register. What it is exactly, you will find in the manual of your STEP5 - CPU. In the S5 CPU - manual, there is a complete chapter that explains all the BS - data.

Should it be written in that manual the purpose of 'BS 41'. I assume it's word adress in internat register to check PLC status? Is it conversible to s7? best regards Is there any manual with STL instructions for S5?

IBN-Service Posts: 8946 Rating: (999)	You must tell us, wich CPU - Type! 941, 942, 943, 944A, 944B, 945? In manual CPU945 at page 6-11 you will find: BS 40 - 45: Type of CPU and Firmware Version.

I have: i.e. FB3 DIV:32, FB4 ADD:32, FB6 MUL:32. However I can't find it in manual in integral FB of this CPU. There are only FB 238-251. I assume I can replace all that integral s5 FBs with s7 instructions like '/D', '+D', '*D'? best regards
