LOGO 8.3 communication is significantly slower than previous Logo8 units?

I have feeling that LOGO 8.3 communication is significantly slower than previous Logo8 units. Everything - uploading program, serving web pages, created with LWE, uploading LWE projects (on LOGO8.2 same LWE project upload takes ca 1 minute, on LOGO8.3 3-4 min.) and so on.

A bit doubtful. Accessing custom web page is via http://<logoip>/customwebpage and not via https:// (browser will show difference - encrypted page or not). Behaves differently with Logo8.2 and Logo 8.3. On Logo 8.3 this takes much more time.

Loading Logosoft comfort program to logo is via https now too? LWE projects loading?

Agree, this is nuisance and not bug, when newer hardware is in fact slower than previous. Logo8.2 got an firmware upgrade and worked normally after that too. 8.3 is slow at begginning and we all know, that Logo firmware can be upgraded. With fixing bugs overall communication speed can also be addressed, if Siemens only have time left from implementing not so wanted stuff as cloud connection.

I compare using LWE older version and new version. Newest version when download to Logo 8.2 or 8.3 it is much slower. I see just only 20-50 KB per second even small data like 10 MB. It take almost 10 minutes to complete. 

I think the way LOGO read or write to Microsd card is slow with data made from new version LWE. But Logo CPU calculation speed is no different.

When browser cash all web pictures and components it will be faster loading next time. It slow when no data cash has record in the PC or Mobile phone.

So if Siemens can improve LWE to make read write speed that interactive with micro sdcard more fast, will make it more appeal to user.

LOGO! Support

In opposite to all older LOGO!s LOGO! 8.3 is using secure communication.  Therefore communication with LOGO! 8.3 is slower.

Secure connection usually takes max 10% more resources. Not 3-5 times more.

In german speaking forum explained, that

"According to the development, the encryption is necessary because of new regulations."

Which regulation makes it necessary? I can understand that regulations are those like EU export restriction regulations, which makes downloading program updates more inconvient, but never seen any official statement, which makes connection encryption requirement between end devices.

IIRC on TIA portal you can specify which way you communicate with S7-1200, new, certificate based (and encrypted) or old, compatible and not so secure way. Why this can't be same with LOGOSoft, where one can decide, how secure or unsecure connection must be. On activating S7 or Modbus connection LOGOSoft warns, that this opens unsecured port and this is now user responsibility.

With all due respect this explanation looks more like excuse leave things like they are on.

I have tested on the same model LOGO Hardware 8.3.

LWE 1.0 ----- It is excellent fast loading pages ( Non secure )

LWE 1.1 ----- It is 50-200% slower loading pages( Non secure )

LWE 1.1 ----- It is 50-200% slower loading pages with intereaction speed extreamly slow ( Secure mode ) ( Browser install certificate already )

Concluded that even Non secure mode, LWE 1.1 is always slower that LWE 1.0 made web pages loading.

LWE1.0.1 can't upload project to Logo 8.3 (LWE gives firmware error)

LWE 1.1 can upload to Logo 8.2 and make it slow loading too.

So the problem not in hardware Logo 8.2 or 8.3 but in the software LWE 1.1 made web pages that much slow loading. I do not know why.

I try LWE 1.0 and got faster loading pages on both Logo 8.2 and 8.3 hardware.
