S7-1200 leds ( maint, Stop, Run) are flashing continuously

Suddenly, this PLC leds ( maint, Stop, Run) are flashing continuously and when connect Ethernet cable between PLC and PC, there was no connection also leds ( TX/RX) are completely OFF always. I shared in attachments, video for PLC leds status. Please support me to solve this problem. Thank you Taha Mohammed 0_Einstein I would suspect several of your protection diodes have popped. cnmautomation Dear Sir, We are using Meanwell Power Supply NES-100-24 for Powering PLC, DI, Sensors, and DQ. With fuses inline at Power input of PLC, and IO Modules. Operating temperature < 45degC with forced air cooling. Also the Outputs are not driving any loads other than relays with free wheeling diode protection. If you remove PLC power, wait 30 minutes, and reapply power, does it try to power up, or does it almost immediately go into the same "maintenance" mode of all flashing? What's the firmware revision? I tried to remove power for more than 30 min. and reapply power and I got same status as video that I attached previously ( No change). I can't connect to this PLC, when I connect Ethernet cable between PLC and PC, the leds TX and RX of PLC are always off and at PC, there is no plugged cable status. If you contact the Siemens repair center (they are 24x7), they may have a swappable replacement they can ship right away (overnight) and you ship your defective s7-1200 PLC back so they attempt to repair it and make it available to others for a future swap. If you happen to have a s7-1200 compatible memory card, you can try to flash the same version of the firmware onto the PLC to see if that much of the PLC is functional. If you remove all the digital I/O from the PLC and just power the PLC back up by itself - no RJ45 - profinet/ethernet connections either with PLC L+ / M / GND(PE), does it power up? Try searching this support site for the exact same problem and try any additional suggestions you find.

This defective PLC had been exposed to lightning during rain and the current status of this PLC as video that I attached before. Also these PLCs are using for small application to operate and monitor water pump and they are installed at safe and clear locations. BR, Taha Mohammed 0_Einstein Time to replace the PLC. It is out of warranty, so the best solution is to replace. If you contact the Siemens repair center (they are 24x7), they may have a swappable replacement they can ship right away (overnight) and you ship your defective s7-1200 PLC back so they attempt to repair it and make it available to others for a future swap. If you happen to have a s7-1200 compatible memory card, you can try to flash the same version of the firmware onto the PLC to see if that much of the PLC is functional. Lightning you say. That changes everything. Even with great lightning arrestors, PLC and related hardware may not survive a single thunderstorm centered around the installation. I have seen some systems that perform orderly shutdowns if/when a thunderstorm enters into the area of the equipment to the point that electro-mechanical power distribution is taken offline to protect everything from the power distribution perspective. However, even in those situations, without an excellently planned and executed ground plane to protect interconnection wiring, it is very easy for a shield wire to bring in thousands of volts and blow up the entire system, or simply take out one completely obscure component on a circuit board and yield death the entire system.
