WinCC Unified Runtime V17 HTTP Error 503

Hello !

Recently upgraded a PC from runtime v.16 to runtime v.17. 

After this upgrade i can no longer access the winCC application and get an HTTP Error 503 in the browser. 

When looking in Application pools in the ISS manager it appears that both DefaultAppPool and WebRHPool stops.

Hope anybody has tips how to solve this!

From what you say, something may have gone wrong with the installation of the new software version, so I would not rule out performing a complete reinstallation and trying again.

maybe it will help to remove the WinCC Unified SCADA site from IIS and reconfigure it like shown in "WinCC Unified V16: Troubleshooting SwacLogin: error during component/s creation".

The SCADA IIS Fixe does not help, maybe somebody have an idea?

same here. After V18-Installation the webpage is no longer working (503). I'm in conctact with the Siemens support.

Tried to reconfigure and reinstall unified but nothing changed.

in the German part of the forum, the following solution from the technical support was posted:

• Create a *.txt file and copy the following lines into it:

• Save, close
• Rename the file extension from *.txt to *.bat
• Start bat file via right click "run as administrator"
