Keeping Softstarter 3RW44 in bypass mode!

Ayman Elotaify Platinum Member Joined: 5/28/2008 Last visit: 11/6/2024 Posts: 4516 Rating: (839)	Dear All, I want to know if I have a softstarter 3RW44 running and it is now in the bypass mode. suddenly for a short time the power lost and returned again, How the softstarter will react? Iknow it may depends on the period of the power loss. What is the maximum time after which the softstarter will need to go to starting phase again. I am asking because I have an ATS system, While The softstarter is bypassed, the supply may be changed. How thesoftstarter will reach in this situation? Regards.

Bilal Moolla Posts: 133 Rating: (9)	Hi Ayman DocKnow is right. When I simulated this by hand the bypass contactor does not retain because we cannot simmulate this within 100ms by hand. I guess if we tryied this with a PLC switching the mains OFF and ON again within 100ms then the bypass contactor should remain ON. Cheers.
