The new firmware V2.2.11 for the LOGO! CMR2020 and LOGO! CMR2040 is hereby released and is now available for free download. The firmware V2.2.11 is the successor to version V2.2.10 and mainly contains functional extensions to support communication between the LOGO! CMR and the new LOGO! BM 8.4.

1. Product description

The logo! CMR2020/2040 is suitable in combination with the LOGO! logic module or in stand-alone operation as a cost-effective telecommunications system for monitoring and controlling decentralized systems and systems via SMS, email and calls.

Firmware V2.2.11 is necessary for all customers who have a LOGO! Use CMR and create a LOGO! Want to monitor/control BM with the new version V8.4. Due to a safety-relevant change in the LOGO! As of this version, BM can only create an encrypted connection between LOGO! CMR and LOGO! BM can be used to exchange the process data.

Firmware version V2.2.11 contains the following functional enhancements and corrections:

LOGO! BM V8.4: Support for encrypted communication between LOGO! CMR and the new LOGO! BM V8.4 devices.

SHA512: Support for SHA512 to include the new certificates “LOGORootCert” and “LOGOProductCert” from LOGO! To be able to load BM V8.4 into the WBM.

PEM filter: When uploading certificates, “.pem files” are now also displayed in the filter.
Memory: Fixed a memory hog when loading a CFG file.

3. Download firmware V2.2.11

Please note the following information before updating:

• The LOGO! that are already in use! CMR with FW V2.x can be upgraded via firmware update via Web Based Management (WBM).
• FW V2.2.11 is backwards compatible and can also be used with LOGO! BM devices < 8.4 can be operated.
• Upgrading from FW V2.2.x to V2.1.x or V2.0.x is not possible for modules with hardware product version 3.
• A downgrade from FW V2.2.x to V2.1.x or V2.0.x is possible for modules with hardware product version 2 and product version 1.
• It is not possible to downgrade from version V2.x to V1.x.
• Compatibility with config files V2.0.12, V2.1.4, V2.1.5, V2.1.7, V2.1.8 and V2.2.10 is guaranteed. When the firmware is upgraded, the saved configuration is adapted to the new version. Old settings are retained, new functions are preset with default values. Likewise, configurations that were created with V2.0.12, V2.1.4, V2.1.5, V2.1.7, V2.1.8 or V2.2.10 can be loaded into V2.2.11.
• Configurations FW V1.x are no longer supported.
