Bizur Posts: 1530 Rating: (59)	Hello Ulrik.V, first a simple question: Was the Compiler shown as active when you tried to start it? Maybe the place from where you tried to start it wasn't correct. I also took a look into the video clip, I think it is alright what they are doing there. They create a new project and make a configuration with S7 and WinCC and use the compiler. Sorry, that I can't tell you more at this stage Good look Bizur

Ulrik.V Posts: 30 Rating: (0)	Hi Bizur Thanks for the answer I do exatly like they do in the video. I rightclick the WinCC OS and then select "Compile". I have tryed selecting it from the "edit" - "comile" top menu as well. Nothing at all happens - it dosent even show an error dialog - totally nothing. I'm afraid it's a software / PC error, but i'm not shure how to check this, other than trying it on another computer......It will take a long time, installing a computer with Step7 +WinCC. But this mightbe the only "next step". Unless someone got a really good idea.... Or have a chance to test the appplication for me, if i Zipp it. Thanks again Ulrik

In the beginning of the thread you wrote already, that you reinstalled the system, so I think a wrong/incomplete software shouldn't be the problem. Does it really happen every time you try to create a new project? Do you have problems with other parts of Simatic Manager as well? Did it ever work before? As this is "only" a Forum, I'm very sorry, I can't test something for you. Best regards Bizur

Bizur Posts: 1530 Rating: (59)	Hello Ulrik.V, I just tried it with my Simatic Manager, and also tried to do it wrong somehow, but I didn't find a way. A good thing to test what's wrong would be if you try to open a sample project, which is included in Simatic Manager. You will find it if you choose Open Project and go into folder "Sample Project". Just open one of it and go into Hardware Configuration. Then have a look at the compiler symbol and test it, whether it works. If this shouldn't work there must be a problem with Installation of Simatic Manager. Please let me know Bizur

It's only when i try to get the symbols/DB's to WinCC by choosing the "WinCC OS Compile" menu item. Please notice the screenshot i have attached Attachment compile.JPG (780 Downloads)

Bizur Posts: 1530 Rating: (59)	Hello Ulrik.V, yes I missunderstood it, I mixed it up with hardware compilation, maybe because the video consists a spanish (?) version of simatic manager andfirst time I read "compilár" in the video I thaught, that's it - sorry. If you want to compile your OS you first have to compile your AS, and this must be done without any faults. Best regards Bizur
