Hello mohagan; Welcome to the forum. This document on the Diris 40 states that the protocol supported by the Ethernet module of the Diris 40 is Modbus/TCP: diris a40/a41 ethernet - Socomec Group Siemens offers support for Modbus/TCP through specialized function blocks under the designation Open Modbus TCP. Have a look at the Siemens IT4Industy webpages on the different products offered: S7 OpenModbus/TCP - IT4Industry - Siemens You would need to download the project and documentation for the "Open Modbus TCP for PN CPUs", if you were planning to use the onboard TCP/IP connection of the CPU. The license for theseblocks will need to be purchased eventually, as the missing license generates constant error messages in the CPU, ant a client does not appreciate the diagnostic LEDs of a CPU to be active. But the download will be fully functionnal to test the installation and communications with the Diris 40. Siemens also provides a free-downloadable tool to make your life easier when configuring the Modbus/TCP exchanges: Wizard for creating connection data for Modbus TCP communication. (Modbus TCP Wizard) Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
