You use your Siemens login and password... But if you are not Siemens employee then here is what to do: The "Error 1722.There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected." can have several causes, pleases try: Solution 1: Adjust Execution PolicyIt seems that the active user does not have enough access rights or there is configured a custom policy which restricts the rights. Please either create a new user with all access rights or grant it to the current user. Solution 2: Replace scriptsCopy both attached files (lmu.psc1 & sendInstallMode.ps1; PatchedScripts.zip into these 2 locations: • c:\Program Files\Siemens\LMS\scripts • c:\Program Files (x86)\Siemens\LMS\scripts Try to perform uninstall now Solution 3: Adjust virus scannerThe problem might be caused by a blocking of the ESET endpoint antivirus used by the customer. In particular, there were two HIPS rules that generate this issue:
Once disabled these two rules it should be possible to successfully complete the LMU installation. AttachmentPatchedScripts.zip (315 Downloads) |
