Hi, Passivation... There is a lot into that topic. Have a look at the SIMATIC Process Control System PCS 7 Compendium Part B - Process Safety (V7.1/V8.0) manual under chapter "6.7 Passivation and reintegration of input/output modules". You could also have a look at the Wiring and Voting Architectures for failsafe Analog Input Modules (F AI) of the ET 200M under chapter "2.4.2 Configuring using CFC", where you can read: In the configuration that is shown (SUBS_ON = 0 on the F channel driver), the last valid value is used if there is an error. It is not possible to predict whether this value is above or below the limit value. Anyways, we do not see your application / requirements, so it is hard to comment. Look at the compendium that is good guide. If you need further help please upload your Diagnostic buffer so we can have a look at it! I hope that help!
