Hello, I’m hijacking this tread even it is an old one, but it is more or less related to same topic. So I have changed some components in my PLC setup. Previously I was using a CPU313C with a CP343-1 that was communicating with a IM153-4PN Due to my needs have changed I needed to interchange the CPU to a CPU315-2PN/DP. With this change I also removed the CP343-1 as it was not needed anymore. I now however have issues getting my CPU to communicate with the IM153-4PN. I’m getting Faulty module (diagnostic interrupt detected), Error LED (SF), Error LED (BUS2F). The Diagnostic buffer attached, hopefully someone can point me in correct direction. Have been testing different things now for hours and I’m not really progressing. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ AttachmentDiagnose.txt (131 Downloads) |

Hello Taiger; You are right, the addresses refered to within the OB121/OB122 cals o not appea in your screenshot. Could you check within the Cross-references if these addresses are marked as used in your program, and if so, which blocks are calling them? See ch. 14 of the Step 7 v5,5 manual: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ca/en/view/45531107 Hope this hellp, Daniel Chartier |

Hello, I think you use the old program? And the PIW260 is from CP343-1 card. Then you are reading and writing to Remote IO, but you are not using the inputs and outputs (Like you should now) but you use FC11 and FC12 to read and write IO. (because you used CP343-1) Have a look at this link: How do you program communication blocks FC11 and FC12 for the PROFINET IO device? Best regards, Wizard |

Hello Wizard, By the way is it possible that there is something of old program/data on the IM153-4PN memory card that could cause this issue? I do not have a external Siemens memory card reader so I’m not able to check / clear the card. Or is there some good way of doing that without special equipment? Short update, I found a FB that is causing the read write error and after I disabled that the Diag log is not flooded with messages anymore. In-fact there are no new messages entering the diag log even tho Error LED (SF) and Error LED (BUS2F) is still active. Strange thing is that that specific FB have been working in for years with old CPU. Well that is different issue that I most probably can sort out later, but now back to to the IM153-4PN issue...
