I can't connect to the OPC server using UaExpert or Kepware. I have configured the OPC UA Server as below: - Securities policies available on the server: Basic256Sha256 - Sign, Basic256Sha256 - Sign & Encrypt - Disable guest authentication - Enable user name and password authentication (Username: IoT, Password: 123) But when I enable guest authentication, tick "no securities", and disable user name and password authentication, both systems can connect seamlessly. Is there any misconfiguration that is causing the problem? thank you all.

Murof Platinum Member Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 10/31/2024 Posts: 14079 Rating: (1765)	Hello Julham i did a quick test with my S71500 With enabled OPC UA Server and the same security settings as you have mentioned. I disabled the guest authentication and activated the User/PW I tested with UAExpert and after trusting the certificate the connection with Username and PW works in my site... Which PLc and FW do you use? could you send some screenshots of your OPC Server settings in TIA Portal ? bye Murof

My PLC is 6ES7 510-1DK03-0AB0 firmware version V3.1 In this new version of TIA Portal when I got to PLC>Properties>OPC UA>Server>Security there is no option to Disable Guest authentication and Set username and password. I want to activate username and password autentification so my PLC is not totaly open to everybody. I did this 100 times in TIA Portal V17 and it worked great, but not in TIA Portal V19 I do not even have an option to enable usernam and password autentification for my OPC UA server. Can anybody help me with the problem, it is urgent. Thanks!
