Wincc runtime license not all of the licenses necessary , after replacing the disk

AutoGen_3444131 Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hello, the disk in the WinCC machine has bad sectors. I made a copy of the disk with the 'dd' tool in Linux to a new disk. After inserting a new disk, it shows the license error in the attachment. How to help? When I insert the old disk, there is no license error. Attachment 1.png (491 Downloads)

Open the ALM (Automation License Manager) on the old disk and transfer the Licenses to a USB Pen start thenew disk and then transfer the licenses from USB back to local partition in ALM. If the licenses are defect (you can select and check them in ALM) then you can recover them at Siemens Support: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/772175 Bye Murof

You need to install the master license with the same software as you (or whoever) did it on the old PC. Maybe you have some documentation how this was done and maybe there is some licence information.

So if you install WinCC With Simatic Logon on another PC there will be installed also such a Master license. So these Licenses comes with the installation. And this is also the reason why you cannot transfer the license. Other licenses (Single oder Floating License) you can transfer with USB Pen drive for example Bye Murof
