AR2, Multiple Instances, And Function Blocks

Ates Posts: 198 Rating: (19)	Hi everybody; I remember my first post on this forum, which was about AR2. Now I want to clarify what i found about it and its consequences. Lets begin with basic Load Static Variables. Let say that our fb has got some ins and outs, and some stats. One of stats address is 10 so "did 10" normally and name is Ten. and value is 10. now what happens when we say : L ten; // will load "did 10" as adress and value is 10 now this : Lar2 p#2.0; L ten ; // will load did 12; and value will be not 10 but did 12 s value. L did 10 // will load did 10 and value 10 Important : so when you use ar2 static list shifts like that. Now lets understand how Multiple FB's work. Let say that we have 2 or 3 times called fb from another fb which is using multiple instances. So s7 will just do it like that it will load first db from 0.0 but when the second fb gets called it will load the starting address of the db (in owner db's stat list) to the AR2. So when you go into FB you will see just that ar2 is loaded and it has got a value. So very important : Let say that you use "L did 10" in your fb. And your fb will be called with multiple instace style. What do you say ? will it work ? no it will not it will always load up first fb's static variable 10, because it will load owner fbs db, and its did 10 element. so if you write your fb like that (loading from did addresses) it will never work in multiple instance mode. if you load "Lar1 p##ten" and then using it t [ar1,..] something it will also wont work bcoz it will point did10 so again you need to load ar2 and add it to ar1. then it will work also for multiple instaces and normal fbs. This is what i figured it out. Something wrong any comments ? p.s : i am sorry i am out of time with the project so i can not spare more time for screen shots.
