Engr Umair Posts: 50 Rating: (0)	Hello Friends, I am in trouble please guide me. Well I want to use a count Up Counter. My requirement is I want to count up 10 quanities. Now i want when the pulse counts on 10 times then the counter excute the output relay. But it excute as the counter count up to 1 and output keep counting to 999. I want counter counts 0 to 10 and after 10 pulse/counts the output realy operates. i am setting the counter as follows : Here i set the preset vale c#5 and now the current value is 11. The counter excute the output ( Q0.0 ) as the count up to 1 and keep counting. but when i set the I0.1 is start counting up from 5 to up :( Whats this yaaar. let me get out of it and tell how set the values for my desired output. Marciano Bronze Member Joined: 4/30/2007 Last visit: 6/17/2025 Posts: 231 Rating: (23)	The way that the counters in Step7 works is different on the way you are thinking… the output “Q” is "1" if Counter is not equal to zero. So to go around you have to compare the counter value for the desired value, no preset value is necessary. Observation, when doing in Ladder it is also necessary convert the Counter value to INT before comparing, see picture attached, or deselect the option ‘Type Check of Addresses’ . Engr Umair Posts: 50 Rating: (0)	Hello Bro. well How can i set the value of Cv_bcd in count up Counter ... But i am very good in the siemens programing i am in learning stage. You set the value of CV_Bcd value ( #t word 16#0010 ) and in Bcd Converter you set the IN ( #tword 16#0010 ) and in cmp you set the value of In1 and in2 ..... I dnt get how can i set these values let me guide in this how can i set and if you can then also guide me that how can set the values any tips which are helpfull for me thanks once again

Humble Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hello Engr Umair , You just type in exactly what Merciano wote. You can write #tWord or give your own name, but careful to use '#' sign infront of it. Then in interface you choose IN_OUT and type the same name with allocation 'Word' as data type. Similarly, for integer you can write #tInt or give your own name. Declare this variable in IN_OUT section as data type 'Integer'. For CMP>=1 block you have to drag GE_I block from Comparator section. Thanks, Humble
