What are the essential differences between STEP 7 Lite and STEP 7 / STEP 7 Professional?

Best Regards, Hello, I am sorry to tell in a short answer that it is not possible for free. You want to work on your Step 7 Lite and without interacting physical hardware. So, you need to simulate your software and you may need to define networks like profibus or profinet. Am I right? Step 7 Lite does not support PLCSIM (for software simulation) I mean it is not included in its setup. And also doesnot support networking or distributed I/O system. In fact Step 7 Lite is a perfect tool for beginners and students who need to be familiar with Step 7 programming. If you need more features, then you have to buy the licence of these features you need. Differences between Step7 Lite and other Step 7 software link is given by Ammy in his previous link.
