V18: "Failed to start the service, Error 1460..."

Hi everybody,

I have this issue when installing Tia v18, after uninstalling Tia v15. 

I have tried to uninstall ALM, and deleted almdb file. When i reinstall ALM in setup file, it has the message "Failed to start the service, Error 1460,..." 

In the Event viewer, it showed " API = Create GlobalData, os error code = 0, message = Could not initialize Plugins (CommonData). "

I tried install ALM v6.0 sp12 but it still had message "Failed to start the service, Error 1460,...".

Does anyone have an idea?

it is very likely that the installed virus scanner is not compatible with the new TIA Portal version. Check the version. You can use the compatool to determine the correct virus scanner version for your version.

Thank you for giving me a link to check the compatibility.

I'm using Symantec endpoint protection V14 (14.2). Even though I uninstalled AV and disabled Windows Defender, it still can not start the ALM.
