I have TIA Portal  V13 and a new S7-1200 CPU1214C DC/DC/DC, 6ES7214-1AG40-0XB0.

Which is the factory IP address for this PLC? 

I tried with 192.168.0.1 but I am not able to connect with PLC.

I know only the MAC address, which is written on PLC.

How can I connect with this PLC?

I am a  beginner on Siemens PLC's.

TIA does not find the PLC.

Make sure you have a physical connection with your PLC. Don't need to bother about IP address or submaks.

Without opening any project on TIA. Go on the Project Tree and select the Online Access.

Choose your network adapter that is on the same physical network as your PLC (Cable or Router/Switch) and search it by clicking on the "Update accessible devices".

After confirming the MAC Address open the PLC and use the "Assign IP address" tool.

Assign an avaliable IP address within your network and set the submask to the same as your PC (You can find your configuration by typing "ipconfig" on the Command Prompt)

I have TIA Portal V13 SP1 Update 9 and new PLC S7-1200 CPU1214C DC/DC/DC, 6ES7214-1AG40-0XB0.

I connect to the PLC with Ethernet cable.

1. I tried to connect using New project -> "Update accessible devices". Does not work.

2. I tried with online& Diagnostics. Does not Work. It says "not reachable".

3. I added my PLC to project. See capture9. It seems to be online but I am not sure because of that red "X". If in capture9 I am online how can I assign an IP?

how are you connected to the PLC? directly? over switch/router/VPN?

Is there any anti-virus-scan or firewall active?

I connect directly to the PLC.

I will try SIMATIC Automation Tool, but this take some time for registration.
