Hello, SF led lit when the weighing signal is out of range. And as you did not connected the lodcell, it will illumnating. It is normal. Check section 12 of this manual: SIWAREX U (One and Two-Channel Model) MLFB 7MH4601-XXXX Hope this helps.

ABenno Posts: 206 Rating: (22)	Hello, if the load cells are wrong connected or brocken the SF is also on. The SF LED can also have a iternal reason. To know the exact reason you can connect with Siwatool and check the error messages. You can also look into the HW-Config of S7, if you are online you can see the diagnostic buffer of the Siwarex U. Mostly with the first setup the problem is the load cell connection. You can measure the tension on the terminal tosee if the connection is right or ifthere is a problem with the load cells. If you have a old Siwarex U order no. 7MH4601* the tensions are as follow. EXC+ to EXC- 10V SEN+ to SEN- 10V(must be >5V) SIG+ to SIG- 0-20mV (If you have set the charateristic value in the calibration parametersto 2mV/V (default), 0-10mV if 1mV/V ist set or 0-40mV if 4mV/V is set) If you have anew Siwarex U order no. 7MH4950* the tensions are as follow: EXC+ to EXC- 6V SEN+ to SEN- 6V(must be >5V) SIG+ to SIG- 0-12mV (If you have set the charateristic value in the calibration parametersto 2mV/V (default), 0-6mV if 1mV/V ist set or 0-24mV if 4mV/V is set) !! But i didn't recieve the measurment value in kg i have applied the force on load cell platform the following parameter in SIWATOOL are checked...??? Average Value filter = checked Limit frequency = fg=2Hz Characteristic Value = 2mV/V adjustment weight = 0 zero digit = 0 weight unit = kg Thanks, Attachment WL260 SP-S AB.jpg (361 Downloads)

ABenno Posts: 206 Rating: (22)	Hello, the problem is the you didn't calibrate the the Siwarex U yet. If the adjustment digit and the zero digit are 0 the Siwarex U will not output any weight value. You have to set the adjustement weight and calibrate the Siwarex U. How to do this you find in the QuickGuide http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/37733600 Regards ABenno

Should i use the adjustment weight = 5000 and zero digit = 100..??? For a 40 kg scale you may use a resolution of 10 g: - the parameter “Adjustment weight” is set into gram x10 (e.g. “4000”). - the parameter “Decimal place for the remote display” is set to “2 decimal points (XXX.XX)”. - the parameter “Weight unit” is set to “ kg”.

ABenno Posts: 206 Rating: (22)	Hello, you don't need to use a adjustment weight of 500kg. You can choose your adjustment weight quite free. It has to be at least 5% of the nominal load of all load cells. e.g. if you have 3 x 500kg load cells connected, you need minimum 1500kg x 5% = 75kg adjustment weight. The example you have send looks OK. You have to be aware that all weight values in the Siwarex U are in INT format, so the decimal place you have to calculate into the values. As in your example, if you want to have you values in kg with two decimals you have to multiply the adjustment weight with 100 e.g. 40kg will give 4000. Regards ABenno

MS1981 Silver Member Joined: 4/14/2010 Last visit: 11/11/2024 Posts: 525 Rating: (11)	Thanks, but can't understand the value offset in uV/V when i inter this value = 10 then its working good but i didn't found this uV/V value in load cell specification. i wish to use the function of subtraction, addition in TIA portal program from the actual measured value how can i use this comand i have example program which is supplied by Siemens with SIWATOOL cd. this program have SIWA_U FB45 with DB_SIWA_U DB9 in which address of DB9 can be applied the function of subtraction, addition on actual measured value..?? Thanks.
