azzy9 Posts: 93 Rating: (0)	Chirstoph, There is another issuse. I have downloaded HELP for Starter v4.4 but ow can i install it? There is a folder SSP_HELP in which there is a Help for Sinamics I want to install it. Regards, Asad

The Starter Help can only be installed with the STARTER Setup. If the Starter first installed without the help the download the complete starter setup again included the helpfiles and start the setup again. In the setup then you can select that only the help should be installed. regards Christoph

azzy9 Posts: 93 Rating: (0)	Im still not able to install HELP. I have extracted the Help package in Starter Software Program under the Folder SSP_Help. When I run software it it shows HELP but not install its package. See the Attachment. Attachment help.JPG (2666 Downloads)

Why isn't there just a version that includes the help? Most of the optional files that I try to install fail with a "current path too long" error when I try to run their setup.exe files. This doesn't make sense because the file name is on the root directory and is at most 100 characters.

It's the unpacking of everything into one directory according to a specific format. From Siemen's site: Procedure to install STARTER V4.4: Download the 2 or 3 or 4 attached ZIP files (depending on the selected download version) Unpack the ZIP files into a shared target directory on your hard disk. Please ensure that there are no spaces in the entire path name of this target directory. After unpacking, the shared directory must appear as follows (shown for the "complete" version): \...\GemeinsamesVerzeichnis\01_Readme\ \...\GemeinsamesVerzeichnis\CD_1\ \...\GemeinsamesVerzeichnis\CD_2\ \...\GemeinsamesVerzeichnis\CD_3\ \...\GemeinsamesVerzeichnis\SSP_BT\ \...\GemeinsamesVerzeichnis\SSP_DCM\ \...\GemeinsamesVerzeichnis\SSP_FAMILY\ \...\GemeinsamesVerzeichnis\SSP_G110_G120\ \...\GemeinsamesVerzeichnis\SSP_HELP\ \...\GemeinsamesVerzeichnis\SSP_MV\ \...\GemeinsamesVerzeichnis\SSP_SIMOTION_INTEGRATED\ \...\GemeinsamesVerzeichnis\SSP_SINUMERIK_INTEGRATED\ \...\GemeinsamesVerzeichnis\Unsupported Tools\ Start the STARTER setup program by calling it from /CD_1/SETUP.EXE.
