S7 200 Data Block small ladder program, value from MATLAB through MATRIKON OPC SERVER FOR SIEMENS PLC

I want to assign an input (assume I0.0) and an output (assume Q0.0) to a datablock (assume DB0) in order to read these values of these I/Os from a SCADA system. I don't know where i can find such info. and i certainly couldn't understand anything from either the manual or MicroWin help I'm using S7 224XP CPU and I'm using MicroWin V.4 Please help me with that and it'll be so generous from you if you recommended a document that contains such info. Best regards Hello members am suffering the same problem as Zangetsu used to suffer but am glad his problem was sloved 5 years ago,I exactly have the same question as his,lets say I have input I0.0 and output Q0.0,what will be the data block small ladder program?,because I need to activate the output Q0.0 by writting a value at the input I0.0,I will write the value from MATLAB through MATRIKON OPC SERVER FOR SIEMENS PLC,So i exactly need to know the addres/data block of my input I0.0,i tried to use the codes given WIZARD,it gives me errors(you can see the attachement bellow) and another thing I didnt understand the meaning of the data blocks thanks ------------------------------ New subject after splitting from S7 200 Data Block creating code understanding problem! deoTZ Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	hello wizard Thank you for your response,but am still getting the same errors as you can see in the attachment and I dont have any idea how to rectify the errors,can you tell me the meaning of the codes you just wrote? does the code MOVB IB0, VB0 moves the binary number which was in addres VB0 to the addres IB0?,If that is the case which addres to i refer from MATLAB to write the value I want, thanks Attachment tena.jpg (381 Downloads)

deoTZ Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	thank you wizard,i got it now,i can see some light, now my question is,to write the data from MATLAB to trigger the action in the ladder program i need to refer the the specific address where i will write that data,is it correct if I use the command in MATLAB to write to the addres VB0?,because i will need to turn ON the output Q0.0 by turning ON the input I0.0 from MATLAB thanks

So if you want to trigger actions you can put your bits from Matlab in parallel with the hardware input (OR) regards, Marcjan

deoTZ Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	thanks Wizard and Marcjan Am glad now I dont have errors,I came up through other new problems,my questions are 1)I am using MATRIKON OPC SERVER to establish the communication between MATLAB and and ladder program in step 7 200 MICRO/WIN,During configuration of the server I am supposed to upload the data blocks of my ladder program,i wrote these as myprogram as you advised me MOVB IB0,VB0 MOVB VB2,QB0 and my data blocks as VB0 0 VB2 0 I decided to wrote the values 0 in data blocks VB0 and VB2 and then overwrite the 0 value by writting 10 value from MATLAB program my MATLAB PROGRAM IS write(VB2,10) read(VB0) am I correct with the codes? 2)Am I correct to try to make write the data in MICRO/WIN from MATLAB throught OPC SERVER or the OPC SERVER is to make communication between the MATLAB and the PLC HARDWARE? Because I am able to write the values to the item I created in the OPC SERVER and read the value from the MATLAB COMMAND WINDOW as shown in the attachment but in the simulation of the ladder program no change of values, thank you Attachment 1a.jpg (413 Downloads)
