S7 200 Data Block creating code understanding problem!

Zangetsu Posts: 22 Rating: (0)	Dear All, My problem seems to be simple to you but i really suffer. I want to assign an input (assume I0.0) and an output (assume Q0.0) to a datablock (assume DB0) in order to read these values of these I/Os from a SCADA system. I don't know where i can find such info. and i certainly couldn't understand anything from either the manual or MicroWin help I'm using S7 224XP CPU and I'm using MicroWin V.4 Please help me with that and it'll be so generous from you if you recommended a document that contains such info. Best regards

But if we assumed that i need want to make data block for any other purpose....is it possible to assign an input or output (Bool) to a DB, and how? I hope you can support me with any documentation. If you have the Step7 Micro/Win installed in your PC, you can open help then --> Contents and index --> LAD, FBD,STL programming editors --> Ladder Logic Programming --> Using a Data Block to store data in PLC Memory. Zangetsu Posts: 22 Rating: (0)	Dear Tomy and Helmut_13, Thank you guys for your help and I really appreciate that...but i have one more question to ask let us return to my assumption input I0.0 and output Q0.0 if i added a data block with the following: VB0 255 does it mean that the input I0.0 and Q0.0 are within this Variable memory? or let me rephrase the question... in the S7 200 PLC i have addresses for inputs I0.0...I15.7 and for outputs Q0.0...Q15.7, how can i get the offset variable memory allocation for these addresses? look this wrong example: I0.0...I0.7 are in VB0 I hope you could understand what i'm asking for because this matter confuses me most. Thanks in advance.

When you want your inputs and outputs mapped in Datablock, you can do the following: LD I0.0 = V10.0 Or even movb IB0, VB20 Hope it will help Best regards, Wizard
