Data record Area Pointers S7-1200/WinCC basic - No TAG is accepted in the PLC Tag column

In the PLC Tag column no tag is acceptable!! I checked "Data record" in the areapointer tab of connections. I defined an array[0..4} of word in a datablock called GlobalDataBlock as follows: GlobalDataBlock.RecipyMailbox Array[0..4] of Word. But I cannot get the Areapointer defined in the HMI Connections. The PLC Tag column does not accept the tag GlobalDataBlock.RecipyMailbox[0] which it offers in the objectlist. I tried a structure of 5 words as well, but no success. It shows the error "The PLC Tag requires the same length as areapointer"... I know the first element is only 1 word, but it does not allow me to select anything else either..Like the tagname without the brackets... Is this a bug or am I missing something??? Thx, Hans

You describe the correct use of recipes and assigning records and items to recipes. Which I do not have any issues with. My problem is not in the regular use of recipes, but assigning the area pointer in the connection tab. This to control the transfer of recipes with my own layout, status text and buttons instead using the built-in recipe functions. This is in the same set of parameters where you can set date/time synchronization between the HMI and PLC etc.
