I need to upload Masterdrive parameters and see diagnostic and faults and alarms

We have CPU315-2DP and 3xMasterdrives in Profibus DP 12Mpbs. Ineed to upload Masterdrive parameters and see diagnostic and faults and alarms. I downloaded DriveMonitor from: https://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/llisapi.dll?func=cslib.csinfo&lang=en&objid=11769381&caller=viewprogram working it´s fine. Problem is to connect online to Masterdrives. 1. I try by profibus connect RS485 to top of busconnector6es7972-0BB11-0XA0. CPU´s BF and SFgoing faultwhen I putconnector on. I have right speed and etc. Bus is connected CBP2 card. 2. Then I connect RS485 to X103 no connection. 3. Then I made special RS232 cabel and try online by X103, not working? So if someone have good Idea where I go wrong, please answer. The pins is available at mentioned manual (on 108th page). So, you need serial port on PC. Be careful when using USB to Serial convertors. Look at My PG/PC has only USB com-ports. Rs-cable, it´s made like page 111 (5.5.1.2)in manual link also mentioned. I have COM port and it´s working and parameter´s are right. So real answers please... -Heksu-

I use to work by laptop before many yearsand now I have new PG M2. So, I finaly found out from your material com-port picturewhy I did´t got online connection . Here is also Difference between your good pdf-file and my situation was, 1. Difference between laptop and Siemens PG M2 is COM-port which are normal laptop com-port are male and PG M2 there is MPI/DP-Port(female) and COM/TTY-port is 25pin. 2. MasterDriveMCplus, there is not X300connector, in attachment you can see X103 where to put special RS232 connector like manual page 111 says. 3.Parameter 53 not need to chainge (0000 0000 0000 0111)if these bits are allready "1", like (0000 0000 0011 1111). I am guessing you were using the MPI cable (6ES7901-0BF00-0AA0), this can cause communication problems if you are using on speeds higher than 1.5MBaud. You must use this cable instead 6ES7901-4BD00-0XA0, this cable is rated upto 12MBaud. See the attached picture, the cable on the left is the standard MPI/DP cable, on the right is the 12MBaud cable. I know this limit with MPI-cable and normally I use selfmade RS-485 profibus cable, but maybe there is something difference between these cables. -Heksu-
