Hello panthripu, please take a look at the manual. It will answer most of your questions. The mentioned corresponding message you need has got number 1010107. Here you'll find the way how to configure system messages in WinCC. Concerning your question how big an archive will become I found this. I know it's quite a lot of information, but I hope it will bring you on the way. Documentation of WinCC has become larger and larger. I understand, that it's easy to loose track of it. Sometimes it happens to me, too. General I would like to give you the tip, if you want to get some information concerning a special keyword in WinCC you may use "Simatic/WinCC/WinCC Information System". If you go to folder "Index" you see lots of keywords. You also reach WinCC Information System if you have already opened your WinCC Explorer and choose out question mark in the menu line. If you are just configuring something in WinCC you will sometimes find button "Help" at right side. Pressing this button you also get into WinCC Information System. The advantage there is, that you get right information concerning the thing you are doing. The other good way is to use this Service&Support page, write "WinCC keyword" into search field at right ride. You have easy possibilities to get into a manual. The other good thing is, that you also can take a look at the existing FAQ's. I think Siemens puts a lot of effort in this and it's a good thing to use it. But for sure you can also ask me or someone else in this forum to clear detailed open issues. Best regards Bizur |
