How to connect WinCC flexible with STEP7 PLC-SIM on the same computer for testing and debugging?

I have both program on the same Simatic MAnager project. I can run the PLC-SIM without problem. I can run the WinCC Flexible runtime simulator, but there is no link establish with PLC-SIM! How to do it? LaraCroft

FranMar Posts: 43 Rating: (0)	Hi I was in the same situation....I have a S7-300 CPU 314 and a MP 277 10¨....when I was testing my HMI program I have to comunicate with MPI cable to PLC for download the program. And that was Ok...I setting the interface PG/PC adress 2 not auto. Then when I was trying to run HMI program....first I openned the S7 program and PLCSIM...create a new plc with all digital in/out put´s andanalog input.Second...I compile my HMI program in WinCC FLexible and RUN....and it was working together....with no problem.....

SadiqAsgher Posts: 31 Rating: (2)	Hi, Very simple to integrate WinCC Flexible with Step 7 using PLCSIM. Follow these steps. 1. Start Simulator 2. Set Connection Type (ie MPI or TCP/IP etc). 3. Download Program to Simulator. 4. Start WinCC Flexible. 5. Define Connection Type. 6. Save & Generate. 7. Start Run Time (Not RT with Simulation). 8. Switch PLC Status to RUN-P. One more thing connection type should be same for WinCC and Step 7. Regards Sadiq
