MCB Selection for Power supply

RAJKIRAN Silver Member Joined: 8/18/2009 Last visit: 7/28/2025 Posts: 558 Rating: (33)	Dear Expert, I have PS 407 120/230V UC - 5V/10A (6ES7407-0KA02-0AA0), which MCB required for this power supply in 230V. I Have seen in technical data of this product I gotRated value at 230 V AC -0.5A & Inrush current, max. is63A then which parameter is referred for this MCB selection. Is any technical doc. is for this selection.

So, if you will use this voltage selection, you have to use a MCB with rating greater than 0.5 A. 0.63 or 1 A will be fine. And for inrush current, it is stated in the technical specifications 63A;Full width at half maximum 1 ms, and of course MCB should not have enough time to trip (only 1ms). Hope this helps.
