Disconnect CM1241 while S7-1200 is running

Tresancos Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	I worked with S7-1214 and a commnunications module. I don't know why but sometimes the PLC changes its state since RUN -> STOP and the ERROR led start to blink. The diagnostic buffer shows three events: First: HW configuration error. Extraction of the HW component (ID 02.4042) Second: New information of Start Blocked: CPU is operating now as STOP(ID 02.4000) Thrid:HW configuration error. Insemption of the HW component (ID 02.4042) This happen suddenly and without sense. Could I use some block on the PLC, that if this happen the PLC continuous working on: RUN??? Thanks!!!!!

What firmware and what version of portal are you using? FW 2.2 for the S7-1214C seems to help avoid many crashes with TIA Portal V11 SP2 If you use your own error handling by creating a diagnostic error routine OB, the PLC will usually try to run that OB instead of crashing. Create one diag OB, compile, and download. See if that helps. You might want to check your connection with the hardware between the comm unit and the PLC. It might be loose. If it is snug, you may have a ground loop or some high EMF signal nearby.

Hello Tresancos, Can you post the diagnostic buffer text file here? Are you using any Digital Output of relay type? Let know the complete configuration of your S7-1200 sytem (IO modules, Communication modules used while the error occured)

Is it possible? Thanks!!!

Is it possible? Thanks!!! I urge you to upgrade the firmware and your tia portal software to V11 SP2. The firmware in your project needs to also match. That said, it is possible by adding the hardware diag ob your plc may not halt on this type of error, but with V10.5 SP2 and FW 1.0.2, I am not sure. FW 2.x seems to have greatly improved on random cpu halts!

Maybe is a problem of the modbus between the PLC and the CM1241, because nobody had disconnected the CM. I wish if this happen to me again, the PLC continuous in RUNNING mode, not like now that change to STOP. Is this possible?

Hello Tresancos, Then as huggy said do upgrade the Operating System of the CPU to v2.2 and use the Diagnostics OB to prevent the CPU entering into STOP mode.
