0_Einstein Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 7/7/2010 Last visit: 12/31/2025 Posts: 16341 Rating: (2521)	What is connected to HW_ID 272? If it is an analog input, do you have anything wired to the input? How about the configuration of the input, is it checking for errors or allowing the signal to be whatever? There are hardware configuration checkboxes that establish whether you get hardware error detection. If you want them, be aware you need to handle them in your program logic.

All are 4-20mA output Transmitters, and I have all four channels on my card setup for Current and 4-20mA It looks like channel 0 of your 4 channel Analog input module is either wired incorrectly, or has a different hardware or device configuration, or perhaps has a noise problem (odd for a 4-20mA setup). Try swapping channel 0 with channel 1 to eliminate either wiring/field device or analog channel and configuration. Is it possible the field device is configured for 0-20mA rather than 4-20mA or has the wiring polarity reversed?

Dooky Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	I put the pressure transmitter on channel 1 and the issue remained on channel 0. All channels are configured the same as far as I can see. I am thinking I have a bad input module.

If not, do you have absolute certainty of the wiring for channel 0? If you put a 500 ohm resistor across the signal and change the analog input to 0-10V, does the signal work as needed and not fault any longer? It is much easier to troubleshoot voltage signals, then revert back to current once the problem is isolated.
