But actually i want to use old PLC in operating mode same as working now, I only want to show all parameters in new DCS system. Can anyone guide me how it is possible ? Which PLC exactly you use and in which mod is it working? Do you use PROFIBUS or PROFINET for the DCS? Regards Christoph

I am using 1516-3 PN/DP and all IO's will be controlled from same PLC. I want to show all old parameters of this PLC also in DCS. Yes, I am using PROFINET in DCS but wants to connect it with PLC via Profibus. GSDML/GSD are virtual I/O Slos, no DB , Symbols, Parameters or some other ! So what exactly you need to read? The 1516 can only use as DP Master on PROFIBUS, no Slave Mode available!
