Dear Expert's I have two S7-315-2DP PLC's with CP343-1 and both are communicating over Ethernet. Now I have one mmore newsystem with S7 314-2PN/DP PLC, how can i exchange data between this and one of above 315-2DP PLC. Can i use MASTER/SLAVE Communication or Can I use Global Data connection. Plz suggest the simplest and best way to do..... Except : http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/6518822 This is example with s7 400 one side and s7 300 other side. But in my case both are s7 300. Thanks & Regard\s |

Hello, It depends on if you have PROFIBUS subnet on the DP integral port in the mentioned CPUs and what is the role of that CPUs in that subnet. If there is no network defines, you can set a new subnet.Define one of the CPUs as master and the other(s) as slave and configure the communication.More data available here:
If both CPUs are master in different PROFIBUS subnet, you can try communication over MPI via global data communication. I hope these comments help you Hamid Hosseini |

New question published by autoz699 is split to a separate thread with the subject 314c 2dp, backup without mpi port. Best regards |
