Hello, if cognex is a PROFINET device, there must be a GSD file for this. http://www.cognex.com/support/downloads/File.aspx?d=2236&langtype=1031 Import this GSD in the Hardware catalogue and assigne the device to the S7-300 controller. The cognex will have a special adress rangefor exchangingUser /control data with the controller. |

Hello dramsree, I have attached Cognex In-Sight & SIMATIC S7 300 PLC ProfiNET Communication Manual here, which you would also find at Cognex webpage. Chapter 5 shows how to test communication. You should find there everythin you need. If you have any questions, dont hesitate to ask. regards AttachmentOnboard ProfiNET - IS_v1_3.pdf (2208 Downloads) |

New question published by WaqasAkram is split to a separate thread with the subject Profinet communication to cognex - All addresses in tag table are "false" or "16#0000" when monitoring.. Best regards |

Hi, By default, Checker has the PROFINET protocol disabled, so you have to enable it directly from the Checker software from Cognex: 1.In the upper menu toolbar, click Checker. 2.Select Configure Checker. You can check this for more details => https://support.cognex.com/en/downloads/detail/checker/2820/1033 |
