Connecting a PG with a V.24 Port to a PLC

What kind of version of STEP 5 software have you installed? i am using a laptopemachines D730G with i3 core processor and 2 GB RAM. win XP pro sp3 my laptop does not have any com port only usb ports are available the Step 5 spec are simatic S5 Step 5/ST Version 7.23 Basic package
