As Vithany says read the FAQ: FAQ wrote In practice, this means either Frequency or Torque can be in continuous control, while the second input acts as a limiting control, with the controls crossing over as necessary.

So if you don't want the speed going sky high you need speed limit. This is no t only for Siemens but for all brands. Regards, Marcjan
