Migration of S7 V5.4.5 projects til V11 TIA

HerrAndersen Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hi out there. I've got trouble migrating my old projects til to the TIA-portal. On my old PC (containing a fully functioning S7 5.4.5 incl. license) i've installed the V11 migration tool and created a .am11-file. The project is exported without HW-config and contains OB1, OB100 and FC10 and no more!!!. No compile errors. But when i try to migrate it into the TIA V11 SP2, the systen "hangs" and after 3 hours i got tired, and aborted. See screenshot! Any ideas? Kind regards, Lars Andersen, Denmark Hi Lars, Strange behaviour which I haven't seen before. What I normally do is save the Step 7 V5.4/5.5 project under a different name and select the "with reorganization" option. Also, with WinCC flexible I rebuild the project and delete the temporary files. Have you tried this as well? Did you also try to migrate a "nearly" empty project? So we can see if the problem is caused by the project or the installation/step 7 software?

I've tried to make a simple project with only OB1 containing 1 network with a simple SET instruction. But the TIA does the same. I've attached the .am11-file for this. Thanks in advance Lars Andersen Hello Lars Andersen, What is the exact version of TIA Portal v11 you are using currently? (You can find it by going to this menu Help -> Installed Software). You try installing TIA Portal v11 SP2 Upd4 and check for the same behaviour in case if you are using a different version. Currently I do not have the TIA Portal v11 installed in my machine, once I'm done installing shall update you the behaviour of the .am11 file
