Dear All,

Here i have used CPU416-5H and P&F encoder.The same ihave communicated on Profibus DP network.

My Doubtis, if enocder fail,How to read the fail of the slave? and also whichprogram block i have to use?

Kindly give us solution thanks in advance.....

The easiest way to know which DPslave is faulty is to
save LB11 to a memory address like:

T MB0 //slave address[/code]

For all slaves in your project , create a bit to show
the slave failure.When the error is comming , the
bit corresponds to that slave should be set otherwise reset
the bit.

Using SFC51 is straight forward and give you
the bit you want.check the attachment for more detail.
use szl id= 16#292 and index=16#1 for this application.
Check the data record for result of check.

Hi,
Thanks for ur reply.
In my project

ET200M connected in MPI/DP port X1(Rack0,Rack1)

Y-LINK connectedinX2 port (DP=Rack 0,Rack 1)and all slaves are connected in y-link.

I need to read (8 NO) slave fail status from which is connected in DP X2 port.

for that what i do additionally in OB86?...

Just now i tried but i am getting error in RET_VAL as 7000


What is the problem? and aslo in hw where i can get index id?
