SM338 Position Input Module configuration

e_ashish Posts: 37 Rating: (0)	Hi I am looking for a advice on step 7 programming. I am using an SSI absolute encoder to measure distance traveled. The encoder is connected to a SM338 Position Input Module which is configured to provide 25 bit Gray code values for use in the step 7 programme. What type of signal I will be getting through the module, will it be number of pulses or I will get signal directly in mm ( distance) Is there any standard function to read SSI signal for SM 338 ?
