liew Posts: 32 Rating: (0)	Hello Lifrasil, Helmut_13, Betel and all expert, As i know Modular LOGO maximum setup of 24 digital inputs, 8 analog input, 16 digital output and 2 analog output. But for my circuit need >21 digital input and >24 digital output. i'm new in PLC software and control. Please dear expert give me suggestion and advise which product are suitable for my circuit. Hi Nelson, You can uesd S7-200 or S7-1200 Series PLC, Is is sutable for the Small Automation Project, Above Logo PLC.

LOGO!Barbarian Posts: 173 Rating: (95)	Now where did I leave those extra digital outputs lying around? If you need up to28Digital outputs, then do the following 1) Use 2 LOGO!'s - the second one can be a LOGO! Pure, without screen, so it can be cheaper (even on ebay you find LOGO!'s for €20!) 2) On the first LOGO! with the main program, use only 12 digital outputs directly from the program. 3) Use the last4 available digital outputs (Q13, Q14, Q15 & Q16) and wire them to the second LOGO! digital inputs I1, I2, I3 and I4 4) In the first LOGO!, write a small bit of combinational logic code using the Basic Functions (General Functions) to MULTIPLEX (not the analog multiplexer!) the other outputs (up to 16 of them) into a 4 bit digital boolean/binary 'address' 5) In the second LOGO!, make a simple combinational logic program to switch the 4 digital inputs, into all the necessary 16 digital outputs that you need. 6) The speed will be the same as the cycle time of the LOGO! 7) just be carefull of the state '0000' where NO inputs are received on the second LOGO! - this will still switch the first (or last) digital output, because '0000' is the 'address' of this output - depending which way round you make the Lease Significant Bit - LSB) 8) Maybe I will write a program to show this bye bye Aaaaaarrrgghhh!

Andres [Str] Posts: 153 Rating: (16)	There is an idea. I do not know what outputs for what answer. Maximum of 16 outputs. Total remains 24-16=8 outputs. If to assume that a part of outputs is responsible for indication of work of system (for example control lamps.) that for an indication conclusion can be used LOGO!TD

LOGO!Barbarian Posts: 173 Rating: (95)	Here is a Multi-Output solution! - as a present to everyone! With 2 LOGO!'s (both with full I/O expansion modules) and with 4 wires from LOGO! 1 outputs (Q13 --> Q16) to LOGO! 2 inputs (I1 --> I4), you can easily have a main program in LOGO! 1 with up to 27 Digital outputs! There is even 1 spare digital output on LOGO! 2 that can be used for a remote part of the program. This idea is sCaLaBLe, so you can break the program into parts and have several LOGO!'s controlling different parts, but with some data exchange (of status's& I/O's) between them!
