HART is the only digital protocol on the Mag 5000.   The Mag6000 has Modbus, Profibus, etc, but the Mag 5000 does not have any protocol other than HART (check the catalog sheet). 

The Mag 5000 does have an analog output, though.  The Siemens RD300 digital display has a dual display that can display the flow rate (from the 4-20mA output from the Mag 5000) and the  total that it totalizes from the flowrate signal.  Either value is not guaranteed to match the exact value displayed by the Mag5000 because of AD/A and A/D errors and uncertainty, but both values will close and very useable.

There is a Siemens RD150 that claims to have HART, but whether it is a HART master that can be configured to poll the Mag5000 to get the total value, I do not know.  Very little application info on the RD150 was available before I retired.

1. I think HART is an option, even on the Mag5000, so not all Mag5000 will have HART.

Pg 35 shows "Third View" display with 2 variables (stupid example using the same value twice)

Pg 25 shows the selection of which variable is displayed as which display value.  The selection choices show 3 of the 4 HART variables (PV, SV, TV) with a navigation down arrow which would most likely bring up the 4th HART variable QV.

This unit was intended for radar level transmitters, but a HART PV or SV is a HART PV or SV, so it might work . . . .
