Non Responsive IoT 2050 FS:07 Using Example Images 1.3.1 and 1.2.2

machado_john Advanced Member Joined: 6/26/2013 Last visit: 8/29/2024 Posts: 23 Rating: (0)	Hi All, I just got 2 IoT 2050s (6ES7647-0BA00-1YA2 FS:07) and tried loading both example image 1.3.1 and 1.2.2. Neither image seems to be working. The IoT is on with a solid PWR led and nothing on STAT, USER1, or USER2. The P1 and P2 led flash when an ethernet cable is connected. There is no signal from the display port, but then I've never actually gotten one of these to give me signal through the display port anyway (no active dp to dvi or hdmi adapter and no native dp monitors... why did you guys use this format for this device?). Has anyone ever had similar issues? Thanks,

I powered them up with no mmc in and got a red stat light. Next, I removed power, inserted the mmc and rebooted. The IoT did its 1Hz green flash on STAT that it normally does on inserting an mmc with a new image and a few minutes later it was good. Possibly a boot order issues? I know this IoT is supposed to ship with Industrial OS on the eMMC but I've never gotten one where that has actaully been the case. Is Industrial OS on these now and the boot sequence is different? If so, what port has a static IP and what port is it on? In trouble shooting, I tried both P1 and P2 with the standard 192.168.200.1. Thanks for any additional info anyone might have.

This morning, I tried my two IoT2050s FS:07 again and again they do not boot. They remain with the PWR led solid and the STAT led off for several minutes after powering on. It turns out that I had actually mixed up the two I was working on with two IoT2050s FS:05. So, over the weekend, I had been working with FS05 IoT2050s. I attempted to boot the two FS07s without the mmcs inserted, just to see what would happen and the STAT led remains off. It seems like these do not boot up regardless of the state of inserted media. Has anyone used an FS07 yet? If so, what process did you use to get it to a state where it can be used as a headless device? bergmanu Platinum Member Joined: 4/28/2015 Last visit: 11/5/2024 Posts: 3345 Rating: (379)	Hi, on the FS:07 IndOS is pre-installed on the eMMC and this is the first boot device. The IndOS needs to be configured and has no pre-configured IP address - see here for more information. To make it easy for you: Press and hold the USER Button directly with powering on the device --> the eMMc is skipped and it should boot from your SD card with Example Image. Then change the boot order in Example Image to boot from SD Card at first. Best regards!
