schedule a daily program from HMI

I want the user to be able to set in HMI the start and stop time for a pump operation. I imagine that i can be done like this: In 4 I/O fields the user sets, for example: Start_1: 08:00 Stop_1: 13:00 Start_2: 18:15 Stop_2: 21:15 if he wants the pump to run every day, from 08:00 to 13:00 and from 18:15 to 21:15. I am not able to configure the I/O fields for the start and stop times. If i get over this, i thing it will be easy to program the plc switching the output, using DTL. Can anybody give an advice? 4x4 Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have S71214 CPU and KTP600PN. I have done 4 channel weekly timer in it. I have hmi screen where i can change these four channel (start/stop) times. I use plc system clock and i have also synchronize hmi time to plc time. Everything is working very well. See attached file. I hope you get some ideas from it... I would like something like 8:00, 18:15 ect. I think i can implement something like this. In another project, using other plc, i did something like this: In plc, i could read local time in bcd format. For example, if time was 18:15, i had a MW equal to 1815. In HMI i had programmed I/O fields, where i could set on-off times without ":". If i wanted the pump to start at 14:20, i had to set 1420. After this, with a compare instruction, i could set the output on or off. I would like something more elegant than setting time in HMI in this format.

4x4 Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	I have only needed "hour" i/o-fields in my projects. But it is very easy to use also "minute" and"second" -fields if yuo need that. See attached file. There is only used "hour" values, but you can easily do "minute" ans "second" values too in same way... Attachment Weekly timer plc code.jpg (935 Downloads)
