Dear All, 

Anyone of you have SITRANS library for PCS 7 8.2 ? I would like to have the driver block for MAG 6000 and SIPART PS2.

Hi everyone, 

Here is another small update on SITRANS library V6.0. 

I encountered a problem with Sitrans Library (link to the post) . After seeking Siemens advices, i found that there are some of the instruments are not compatible with SITRANS library that working in S7 400 Redundant PLC , especially Profibus PA type. 

Siemens Replied:"

The Sitrans Library is only released for single systems. Redundant H-Systems are not supported at the moment from the most profibus pa field devices.

Attached you will find the information about the devices and the note that only the single systems are supported.

The Sitrans Library supports also the H-System but the most profibus pa field devices don´t support the required redundancy functionality."

The cyclic communication is working well and also the acyclic communication via secondary master e.g.: SIMATIC PDM.
Only the acyclic communication from the primary master (the CPU) is not working in an redundant system.

That means and that is also our recommandation you must use the standard function block out of the APL Library. The SITRANS Library can´t be used at the moment with the SIPART PS2 in  a redundant system.

You can´t eliminate the QWRONDEV because the function block will send an acyclic command and check which device is connected. And the function block receivces an error message. Reason therefore is that the SIPART PS can´t answer to this acyclic command in a redundant system.

At the moment, the only wa"y is to use the standard PCS7 library APL."
