Hello there guys and gals, I currently am working on a communication issue and would like to see if someone can clarify for me how to communicate from a Horner PLC that communicates Cscan to Profinet. I currently have 3 compressors with Remote I/O on each compressor that go to Horner PLC. Now the compressor manufacture my company buys compressors from has now changed out Horner PLC's with SIMENS S7 PLC's. My dilemma is my company has existing sites all over the U.S with Horner's and pretty soon customers will want to add additional compressors to their sites which will now have SIEMENS S7's instead of Horner's. How can I get the existing compressor skids with Horner PLC's to talk to SIEMENS S7. By the way I would like the SIEMENS PLC to be the Master PLC controlling all of the PLC's. Please bare with me guys as I am very limited in the Communications/PLC field so if someone can please advise in plain English I would gladly appreciate it. Cheers! -Romel-

Hi! I would start looking for a CAN - Profinet gateway and contact the manufacturer to ask if it supports communication between Horner and Simatic. e.g. http://www.anybus.com/products/products.asp?PID=479&ProductType=Anybus%20Communicator%20CAN |
