Any more registry items that would be smart to delete? Tomorrow I will install everything again according to the items in this post! Fingers crossed! V

I don't know how far you've gone with re-installing your software, but notice, in the compatibility matrix, that Simatic Net v6.3 HF1 (CD 2005 HF1)was released for WinCC v6.0 SP4, while Simatic Net v6.3 without the hotfix was released for WinCC v6.0 SP3. Now... you said you have WinCC v6.0 HF 2.. which Service Pack do you have there? If you have SP3 then that Simatic Net is incompatible! And remember to install Step7 before WinCC... SP4 for WinCC, and have checked and checked again all shoiuld be OK regarding SP etc. Have uninstalled EVERYTHING, removed registry settings, and deleted som files according to a FAQ. Then I inststalled the software again, same problem. I don't think I have time for any more tests, will do format C, and start from zero. [:mad:][:mad:][:mad:] Will start this tomorrow morning, so if any of you have any brilliant new ideas this is the time[:P]. Not to impressesed by this bug beeing present in the siemens/WinCC software. Cheers V

Result: Engineering station again OK, have not attachd to network yet, but WinCC is running as normal again and attaching to the network should be easy. BUT, I would still like tio install WinCC flexible on the engineering station, how do I know that the same thing wont happen again??????? Anyone? P.S What version and hotfix og WinCC flexible is the latest? V

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hello V, The latest version of WinCC Flexible is 2005 SP1, you may find some info on setting up Flexible's system here. I would've installed Flexible before WinCC and it's components, as I said... did you create an image of a clean windows installation? Best regards, Danielle

I have sendt a request to Siemens support on the issue, Hopefully they can give me detailed information on how to do this, if a certain order is necessary for installation of the products this should be described in the manuals! I will let you know what I find/ get from support. Best regards V

I got an reply from support stating that both softwares are tested and compatible, I don't know what to do now, I have had one crash due to this and I understood that this was a known issue with some of you!
