Download to panel - only option Teleservice is shown

No it is not.

If I go for the add interfaces and select the item, there is nothing to add.

If I go to uninstall, there is a PC Adapter there, although not shown.

Shall I try to uninstall it and then re-install it?

My idea as expected didn't work.

I followed what you said and uninstalled the communication lead from the device manager, leaving the software there. Unplugged the lead and rebooted the laptop. Plugged the lead back in and unfortunately there is no joy.

The PC Adapter does not show any communication options.

I don't know I'm afraid, it's a standard Siemens part, not a copy.

I have used it previously for programming an S7-300 using Step7 V5.5.

The laptop is not new, but new enough, about 5 yr old.

I am not sure whether it would be USB2 or USB3.

Hello,

I have installed TIA portal V13 sp1 upd9 on to my other laptop.

The problem is exactly the same with that software.

I still cannot download.

The windows is exactly the same windows 7 ultimate x86.

I did notice on the installation that it came up with an error, saying that classic component failed.

Is it the version of windows?

Any help would be most appreciated.
