Hello Orcaof DP_SEND and DP_RECV are only required if you use a CP342-5 as the DP Master interface in an S7-300 so my first question is: What DP Master do you intend to use on your S7-300 (CPU's onboard DP port or CP342-5)? Either way, the one thing you MUST have is a GSD file for your DP Slave which is then imported into TIA Portal and used for the DP Slaveconfiguration (see for example HERE and HERE on how to import GSD files in TIA Portal and http://www.profibus.com/products/gsd-files/for more on GSD files in general). The big (and second) question is: Have you created a GSD file for your own "arduino card with a homemade profibus card on it"? I hope this helps |

Hello Orcaof it depends on how your configured your DP Slaves I/O's, specifically the consistent length of them. Option1: Access them directly as you would access any other I/O's (i.e. no special block needed at all). Have a look at How can you access consistent data without SFC14/15 as part of the process image?for more on this. Option2: Use SFC 14 & 15 Have a look at How do you read data consistently from a DP standard slave/PROFINET IO device and write it consistently to a DP standard slave/PROFINET IO device? Another factor to consider isif your DP Slaves I/O'sare inside or outside your S7-MEC's Process Image. Have a look at Where and when do you need peripheral addressing? for more on that subject. I hope this helps |
