If the third party device doesn't work, it might mean that they've change the free and open source protocol, so in fact, they claim to communicate via Modbus but the standard Modbus protocol has been changed. Anyway, I would always try it for all possible CPU types. Heplfull programs (when you understand the Modbus telegrams) to test/check communications are ModScan32 and Wireshark. |
