Dear Chris Thank you for your question. The Siemens solar library is a wonderfull suite of products and includes a range of algorithms as function blocks with a variety of wiring diagram options available in the user manuals available from Siemens. Our project describes the integration of a number of custom elements with the S7-1200 platform that runs on the TIA platform. It took quite a bit of effort to set the optimal parameters and to add high current PWM interfacing with a custom made solar tracking transmission system to realize automatic solar tracking in an off-grid microgrid application. We are presently integrating a smart microgrid with the solar tracking to realise an isolated microgrid for island and rural applications. We are looking at the functionality of the Siemens Spectrum Power TG module, that provides a range of intelligent functionalities in terms of distributed generation in a renewable energy microgrid configuration, as shown in thisLINK The Siemens microgrid suite is especially usefull in autonomous trigeneration, quadgeneration and polygeneration systems, as can be seen in thisLINK Now to answer your question, my Thesis project in the published link provides insigt into numerous details around the integration of concentrated solar tracking and solar power generation, as well as choosing configuration settings and practical tips and tricks around the integration of robust industrial grade Siemens modules into a remote off-grid power system. With the publication of my thesis in the public domain, I was required to get special permission from Siemens legal office in Germany and I signed a Copyright Agreement with Siemens that limits the publication of details of my project that includes pictures of Siemens producs outside of my Thesis document.
