I have the same problem "unable to conect to the server".

The windows is updated and I am in a company network with anti-virus that is not controled by me.

Is there any external update to Tia Software Updater that can make updates working again?

I am also suffering this frustrating issue.

I have tried everything suggested on the forums and still cannot connect to the server to check for updates.

In my office (4 computers) , windows7 , TIA Portal V13, V14, V15 installed

The same problem on TIA Updater for a few days

 I tried this morning and the update is running OK

It is certainly Siemens's problem. Sometimes my updater can find updates and sometimes not.

 Yesterday morning i still had problems. This morning it worked, without changing anything.

So yes the problems are @Siemens

I turned off Windows Firewall and it worked.

After trying everything that I found here in the forum and elsewhere over the internet I did something that could be a fluke but also a solution.

In the TIA Updater options I checked the "User-defined server" and paste the link found in this FAQ https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/de/en/view/109474528

Then when I hit search for updates it worked, I want to asure you all again that I don't know if this actually worked or was a fluke.

A fellow forum user with updater problems fixed their problem.  Today, they posted how.

Something about Windows 10 (newer versions) default to .NET 4.7 which is not compatible with the updater (and other stuff).

Rolling back to an earlier version of Win10 corrected the problem (along with something else I think).

Worth reviewing it to see if there is anything in common with their system and yours.

 NetFxRepairTool  from microsoft helped me. After running NetFxRepairTool, updater is going online. Thanks

Yes, the NetFixRepairTool founded on the Microsoft website worked and the problem was solved for me. Just search for this tool and apply it.

I always thought that the problem was related to the .NET Framework, since I never had problem with firewalls and antivirus.
